Oglebay Resort is home to the Speidel Golf Club, rated 4-1/2 stars, which comprises the resort's top two 18-hole championship golf courses, the Arnold Palmer designed Klieves course and the Robert Trent Jones Sr Speidel course. This tree-lined and open parkland layout provides a wonderful test for your all-round game, with many attractive, skilfully crafted and challenging holes to enjoy. A must play if you are in the area.

Very nice golf courses. The Palmer course is well conditioned and challenging. The Jones course is in good shape as well but much quirkier. There are a couple holes that require right angle doglegs. The grille is good with a nice breakfast sandwich and lunch options, as well as some good local beers.

The course was in great condition. However it's ridiculously hilly and doesn't have much drama in it. Feels too open, too straight forward. Also, fairly expensive for what it is.

The course has gone down hill over the last year. Less attention paid to basic maintenance, and the fairways are a bit chewed up. The new course manager seems to have made a big effort to cut costs, and it shows in the product.

I played the Palmer Course and the greens were super fast the rough is very rough and it's a tough course but it's well worth playing
