The challenging layout offers 60 sand-filled bunkers, tree-lined fairways and water winding throughout the course. The clubhouse is a designated historic site. Brown Deer Park is a well-rated and always popular golf course. Plenty of golfing challenge, a well-crafted design and usually good upkeep all contribute to the appeal of this course. One to include on your play list if you are in the area.

Recently had a great experience here. Was not familiar with the area and ran into some construction / detours. Ended up late for my tee time. It was a super busy day and the tee sheet was fully booked. Instead of quickly sending me home, the golf shop guys put their heads together to see if there were any groups I could still get paired up with. Instead of acting annoyed they acted like it was their mission to find a way for me to play golf that day. Since I reminded them I was only playing 9 holes, they paired me with a group of 2 golfers who were making the turn to the back nine. I introduced myself and made sure they were ok with me joining. They were very enthusiastic, so we went on our way. Thank you Brown Deer Golf staff for helping me get out on the course and even make a couple new friends along the way!

This is a nice course. The Clubhouse does not meet the standard it should to match the course. The club house closes early at 4:30 even when there is big events. So, if you are here for an event, pack a cooler. As a customer in the clubhouse you feel as if you are a bother. The course and the pro shop were great. Who ever runs the club house needs to step it up several notches.

Incredible PUBLIC course! Home to a annual PGA event. Tiger Wood's first win was here. Sometimes hard to get a tee time, but worth the effort and wait.
