Good golf course. Staff and owners very accommodating. 4 sets of tees to suit all handicaps. The rough is very thick so keep it on the short stuff. Very nice sand in traps and lots of traps. The most impressive part of Ainsdale is the greens. They are huge and very undulating. Imperative to keep the ball below the hole but they do run true from one to the next. I was part of a 100 man tournament and the dining room/kitchen staff had us all through the buffet line in approximately 15 minutes. The food was very good and plentiful. Definitely a return visit in the future.

Could not book a tee time on a Thursday because mens league. We're told we would get squeezed in. Did not get squeezed in. There were 4 men's groups going through at 330 on a Thursday and we couldn't get in. Call Somerville in Tiverton. Way better!

I'm from the GTA where golf isn't cheap, so to pay $75 for a course of this quality is an absolute joke. The terrain and layout was good but that's about it. The fairways were half grass, half clovers and hard as concrete. The rough was dead and brown. The greens were ok, but patchy. The tee's were long overgrown and no where near flat. And that's just the course! As for the service, it was fine, until the 11th hole... So the whole round we didn't feel pressured or rushed at all by the group behind us and at the turn I bought a round of beer which took a few minutes, still no pressure from the group behind us. But getting off the 10th green the marshal pulls up and asks us to hurry up because the group in front was 2 holes ahead ...? Although confused as to why we said ok. While driving down the fairway I looked at the time, 11:15am, we tee'd off at 9am. Therefore we were on pace with no need to be rushed AND it was a 2some in front of us which explains the gap in holes. I really wish I thought of these facts when the marshal spoke to us. Being an avid golfer I know the pace of play and because this old marshal didn't have his facts straight he ruined an over priced round of golf with my father and brother. From then on my dad was picking up his ball and rushing because we were unnecessarily asked to hurry up! In conclusion, I will never play this course again and never recommend it.
