5:45pm Monday June 17th.... 3 gentlemen in the back have a competition on swinging had no want to help me and my friend get new sets of clubs. Pointed us at $200 clubs and we both were ready to spend $500-&800 each. Gentlemen who handed me to the guys in the back was very polite and felt like he cared about his job.

Went there to buy a womens complete set of clubs with a one inch extension. He said those clubs dont exist when clearly on the website they have them. Employee treated me terribly didnt offer any solutions and told me to just buy the standard size and once I get lessons maybe I can extend them. I asked if I could just use mens clubs and he said no because as a woman I dont swing fast enough. He p spent five minutes with me and then he walked away. Mind me Im a 24 year old woman just starting out golf and needing tips. I left infuriated that I wasnt remotely respected. I came back to report this to a manager and he even made me feel little. He apologized but didnt seem sincere I would not recommend Golf Galaxy to anyone especially beginners and women.

Many reviewers have said that customer service was bad. I did not find that to be the case. The staff is not over-the-top friendly or excited, but I have found them to be helpful and professional. I have been playing golf for a few years and decided that it was time to play with good clubs instead of the store-brand bargain clubs I had been playing. I bought a used driver at Golf Galaxy a couple of years ago, in a pinch, because I had broken mine. The price was reasonable for the driver I chose and the staff had been helpful enough, so I decided to shop there for my new irons, knowing that the prices for quality sets are controlled by the manufacturer and are the same no matter where you go. I was greeted immediately by the manager, told him what I was doing there and he set me up with a fitter right away. I spent around an hour hitting with different sets and narrowing it down to the Taylormade M2. The young man doing the fitting and adjustments spent that whole time with me, focused on what I was doing and getting things just right. I was so impressed that I made a comment to the manager about it. I never told them I was going to buy a set of clubs. I only told them I was looking. When I was done testing out clubs and getting fitted and adjusted, I told the sales guy that I was going to wander around, check reviews and think about it. He never batted an eye. Just said, OK let me know if you decide you want to buy some. As I was wandering around, reading reviews, looking at new shoes and stuff, he checked with me once to see if I had any questions and to find out what the reviews were saying about the clubs I liked. I ended up purchasing the M2 set, and the buying experience was very satisfactory.

There were at least seven employees walking around talking to each other in the store and we were not approached once to see if we needed any help. We still purchased $300 worth of merchandise but we probably would have spent more if we had been approached. Seeking out help is the #1 turn off for me. You may as well have automatic checkout with two employees if that is the case.
