Played Sept. 21, `17. First impression was the 1.2 mile ride from the clubhouse through woods to the course. Once there, the next impression was the lush turf that glowed amid the woods and rocky surrounds. Not much in elevation changes here, but this course is not foregiving. And not that it matters terribly, but the tee boxes had the nicest grass of any course I have ever played, a nice touch. There were no sounds or sights of civilization to distract from the golf experience. If only I had played more conservatively.

Amazing!! Even if your a hacker like me, this place is a must !! The best overall fairways and greens Ive ever seen! Folks at the clubhouse and resort are very friendly!

The course layout was awesome. The condition of the course was just above average as they had had a lot of rain recently and weren't able to maintain the course as it should have been. The greens were cut too long and were slow. Fairways were wide and inviting. Scenery was awesome as you are virtually out in the wilderness. (It's a 1.2 mile cart ride from the pro shop to the first tee!) Sand traps are full of animal tracks. (Full of large ROCKS too!) It's LONG way to go from SE Michigan for the caliber of the course. It WAS an adventure, however. It was fun to do once but I wouldn't go a second time.

Beautiful course,greens need work

Jun 28, 2016
Golfed in late June. Been coming here once a year for several years. The golf course was in much better condition this year than last. Hopefully the improvement will continue. For a golf course is this price range the greens could use some work. The staff is friendly and we always enjoy the isolation of the greens. The only real complaint I have is the portable bathrooms on the course where terrible. Looked like they have not been cleaned out since last year. Spider webs in one soon bad I went in woods. For a course like this that is terrible. Half way shack very nice and nice that they have coolers to take on course.
