Nice public golf course. Reasonable rates. Also has driving range, large putting green and a chipping green. Save your golf receipts to get free admission to the State Park the next time you play golf. The clubhouse also has a grill for all park guests.

Course is fun to play but getting through the clubhouse and onto the first tee will ruin your round. Employees will be the death of that course. I asked about getting a memebership and the worker in the clubhouse wouldn’t tell me I guess because I seemed to young to him. They turn away business and I know multiple people that will not go back just because of the workers. Good luck making it to the first tee in good spirits if you attend the course.

I would always most definitely give a higher rating than 1 star for Oak Mountain's golf course and staff and facilities, although last night was miserable. After work I went to the range to put in some time practicing. Was looking forward to the peaceful spot that the range offers. I got there around 5:45pm and went to the dispencer. Took my bag and balls to a spot and before I could even stretch I was unbelievably swarmed by insects and nats. I tried to fight my way through them while practicing. It was useless. At one point I looked down at my legs and I bet there were 40 bugs covering both legs not to mention the other hundred around my face eyes and ears. It was like a movie. I asked another guy if he was getting hammered with bugs and he said yes. It's unreal. I hit 15 balls and hit the road. Waste of time. I got home and had to rub cortisone cream all over my legs from the bites just to stop from itching my skin off. This can't be healthy out thrre. Please someone SPRAY THE RANGE!!!. I'm sure it's just as bad on the course.

Great track. Greens are a little shaggy and slow, but in great shape every time I have visited.
