Great place. Great golf. Nice guest services and accommodations. If you're staying for a few days you need your own car. The hotel shuttle service is not sufficient for an enjoyable stay.

I was here on business beginning of the year and I cannot tell you how incredible the staff was and how gorgeous the room showed. Clean, beautifully furnished, ocean view, no detail missed. The turndown service left me relaxed and at peace ready for a good nights sleep after a long day of travel. The interior of this resort was breathtaking. Extraordinary stair cases. Hand crafted furniture in the sitting rooms. A traditional bar. Outstanding food. I look forward to visiting again next year!

I always love to visit Kiawah Island. The staff is friendly, helpful and it's admirable they do their jobs so well with the temperatures outside in the summer. Although my parents complained about the cool air inside, I can't complain. I liked the change. You just can't sit inside for too long if you're completely soaked in sweat. Also, don't sit outside for dinner. It might seem like a good (and sometimes romantic) idea, but the chance that you'll get 10+ mosquito bites is high. The beach is wonderful, and although I lost my two-week old pair of glasses, I still can't complain. The water is warm (duh), the beach is white, and not very polluted. If you can manage to get up before sunrise, definitely do, and take your camera. Trust me, it'll be worth it if there's food weather.

Had a nice time looking around but not doing much as it was freezing cold. There was still a bunch of holiday decor out, wish it helped the customers who were not friendly and even judgmental. It's a better experienced in spring time unless you are open to punishing yourself.

We have stayed at some pretty spectacular hotels and resorts over the years but The Sanctuary takes the number one position. It was amazing!!!! From the staff to the dining and location, it doesn’t get better. We will be back.
