They are so helpful with women in need. They also help men who have been been abused too. Classes, rooms and help to protect you. I care so much for what they do to help others during my most difficult tme in our lives. God bless them. They helped me during my most difficult tme. Thank you, ❤️

This shelter has very great staff who are friendly. They also offer child care for the clients who attend their groups (only for the groups appointed times).

This place is filthy nothing more than "some women abusing the right to be there . Messy dirty with mice these women Some will steal from you. They use it and do nothing the staff will not tell them to get up and pick up. You ha e chores to do and if some one doesn't want to do them there not held accountable. I use to stay at the old shelter before this one and in no way could we stay there and leave on a over night pass to to spend the night with our abusers if your there there was no hooking up with your abuser what so ever If it is good enough to spend the night with him then why are you at the abuse shelter. Lots of drug use and I found dirty needles in a bath room where any child could have picked it up . Meals there now are nasty as at the old shelter you had to make meals , salad, with the 4 major food groups. Now days the woman are mean and nothing like as in the past us woman got along and sat up and talked to each other we also did not have a t.v and staff really cared about the woman and would play card games with us not now in the past if we did not do our house chores we got wrote up there are rules to life and these woman there now get away with abusing each other and the shelter and the very people that work there say we can't make them it could be a trigger for them what ever they went threw you ha e rules to life rules at your job but no real rules at the Awake shelter do what you want when you want let your kids run a muck. I have a friend of 30 years yes 30 years I ment from the old awake shelter and I bet not one of these women there who have stayed at this one now can say that. Any one with half brain if you ever went in there you would see it is a mess and there are people who donated money 4 there 4 what they would die if they just would sleep there , eat the food , see how they store food in the fridge it is very bad and nasty
