Nice course. Back nine is definitely more challenging than front side. No GPS on carts. Good restaurant and clubhouse with nice views.

Amazing views as you drive to the golf course. The restaurant got packed as noon time approached.. Lunch was delicious paired with a great Wine to savor from Vina Robles. Great atmosphere, relaxing bite to eat. Salute!

Hunter Ranch is a course that combines "small town charm, with world class golf". There is no housing around this excellent course, allowing you to enjoy the ever-present and picturesque views over hills and vineyards, both near and far.

UPDATE: We were contacted by Dave Lewis, head pro following our round to offer a proper customer service interaction and explain the situation. The way he handled it was exactly what you would expect from a profesional who cares about his course and the interaction was extremely impressive. We played another round while in Paso and given the pace of play, the professionalism of the staff that day and the course atmosphere I have changed my rating. Thank you, Dave, I only hope there are more golf pro's like you. Original post: Honestly very disappointed in our round today. We came in from out of town for the holidays and received rave reviews and that we had to play there. Tee time of 1220 and actually got off 15 minutes early. We were told at check in that there was a frost delay but it was all caught up. We waited at every hole for 15 minutes and played the front nine in 2:45. At hole 7 we called about the slow play and a concern that we might not finish before dark and gently asked about a ranger. We spoke with Greg at the front desk and we were told that there's nothing to do about it, "a log jam is a log jam". We didn't see a ranger the entire time. We spoke with Greg after the round and he continued to give us excuses about the slow play. Pretty unacceptable service, especially for a $100+ round with mediocre course conditions at best. Already cancelled our follow on round, very disappointing day.

Surrounded by vineyards, this is a nicely designed challenging course, especially the back 9 holes where there are quite a few force carries and dog legged challenges. Condition was reasonably good in most holes. The restaurant also made a really delicious club sandwich!
