Stables offers excellent food but very pricey. Fabulous views and comfortable seating inside and out. During peak hours the service suffers. Overall it’s a very relaxing place to get away.

We would never recommend this restaurant to our worst enemy. We have been here on quite a few occasions and have always walk away asking ourselves why did we come here again because it was so bad. Recently, my wife and I went to Stables for Easter brunch and I have to say honestly that the brunch was a joke. We actually felt embarrassed that we were there because the service and food was so lame. What a waste of $150.00. The food options were like something you would get at some cheap lousy restaurant, which in this case it is. The restaurant has gone so far down in quality and offers little in the way of any type of unique dishes and we feel like idiots even patronizing this place. However, in this run down area you really don't have many upscale choices. There is a Mexican restaurant on every corner in this dump, and even this so called "good" place to eat also has many Mexican dishes that are no better that the other low quality places in the area. If this restaurant ever gets back any degree of true classiness, we may try again. Not holding our breath.

Several issues with the Stables spoiled a special dinner for us: 1. Although we had made a reservation and were confirmed that we would be seated at a table with a view, when we arrived we were told that the only table available was a dark booth directly behind the reception desk. 2. The server didn't arrive for some time. We really felt like we were an afterthought. 3. We ordered cocktails and a starter which took 20 minutes to arrive. No bread was offered until we asked. 4. We had a similar wait for our main courses. Food was excellent, however, thus the 2 stars. My advice is to skip the Stables if you want a memorable experience. You'll likely be disappointed.

Called 5 days ahead to set up Birthday dinner for wife as I was staying at resort for 3 days. Stopped by in afternoon and confirmed dinner reservation with hostess. Everything on schedule. Went to dinner and young hostess directed us to bar and told us to sit anywhere we liked. Bar was ok if you wanted loud bar?! Bar also had reserved signs on tables carry over from golf? I went back to hostess and said we had reservations at 6 for 2.. she looked at other main gal confused almost thought she didn’t speak English? **What is point of a reservation if they just throw you in bar? Not on top if their game at all for dinner. One waiter for entire bar. Almost appeared they were short staff. This was Easter.? It did take some time getting waiting on. Guy was nice but seemed a bit overwhelmed. Food was B+ If I was the chief or manager I would be pissed as this could have been a lot more Pleasant experuance. I

We went to the restaurant at about 6 PM. The hostess sat us in a booth near the entrance. We waited for someone to come ask for our drink order. My friend ordered to different kinds of drinks that the bar apparently couldn't make. So, she stuck with water. After we ordered, it took us over an hour to get our food. Our waiter didn't refill our glasses with water and wasn't kind to us. No one at the table was rude or unreasonable. In fact, when we finally got our bill, the waiter didn't come back to pick up the tabs so we went to the hostess to pay. Terrible service considering the high cost of the food.
