The 9 hole chip and putt plays exactly as it's name states. It's a relaxed, enjoyable place to work on one's short game. Or, just to enjoy. As a public course, fees are reasonable, but lacks the attention that private, and on more expensive clubs get and a couple of the greens needed some attention to play well. Part of that is the golfers not taking responsibility to fix divots that they make when their balls land on the greens, but they can be better maintained by the greenskeepers. For golfers who are interested in practice and well as those purists, a real barrier to play is having to hit off a mat on every tee. I don't feel that helps anything except hitting off a mat. It doesn't even seem to help the grass grow as the grass around the tees are the thinnest and are consistently brown. Also, one should be aware that many youngsters come to learn the game in classes held during the summer. There's also soccer golf which is coincidental with regular Golf and played on the same course. Even so, it's not difficult to get up on the First Tee and play through if you want a quick 9 holes. Everyone I have encountered here was polite and allowed golfers to play through if THEY wanted to take more time around the course.

Good local spot to go hit a few drives but can get very busy. Never been on the course but I'd expect it's sloooow. Shop / Diner / Bar is OK but doable for a public course post-round pint. Plenty of parking and a fun par 3 down the back.

It's a great place to have fun and meet all kind of different and interesting people but the best after playing is having drinks at the bar with some of their great appetizers
