Went here for a round with my brother-in-law from southern California. He said it was his favorite place we've been to in the last 10 years (outside of Harding in SF). There are literally grapevines in every available space, between fairways, etc... Course was in great shape. Play was fast (we we're in a foursome and didn't ever have to wait for the group in front. Also no time pressure from the group following, and it was a day with a full card. Interesting course, lots of water features, some hills, great views. Beautiful fall colors too.

I would normally give a 5-star rating but had an atypical experience yesterday which I hope is not a trend. Scheduled an 8:42 tee time and when we arrived, found out that there was a tournament in front of us and the group immediate in front of us was a 5-some. Needless to say, it was a long, frustrating day and the round was just north or 5.5 hours and never saw a Marshall all day. Ive been playing Eagle Vines for a few years and a lot over the past month and a half and this was unusual. As I said, hope it’s not a trend. 5.5 hours plus is unacceptable. Given a 45 min commute to get there, there are way too many nice courses in my area to take the drive for that kind of experience. As I said, very atypical and hope an anomaly.

Eagles Vines, rated 4-1/2 stars and its neighbour, Chardonnay Golf Club share much in common. They sit side by side on similar, relatively open and nicely undulating terrain, with vineyards all around. Wine connoisseur or not, golf among the grapes, especially at the excellently maintained Eagle Vines, is a real pleasure.
