My friend grew up and decided to buy a house in Wildwood. I have many fond childhood memories of the club house and have been gone for many years. We had just moved back to California and had lived in a large community allot like Wildwood with all the amenities and country club. Naturally my friend wanted to show me the new clubhouse. We had spent the day on the water and went home cleaned up and got to the club on a Sunday evening around 6pm with three adults and four children with ages ranging from 1.5 years to 11 years. The building was astounding!! They have completely removed the old building and put in a new one. We were met by a hostess who's face changed from smiling to frowning when she saw "children." This is understandable as the entire restaurant was filled with patrons over the age of 65 years old. We asked for a table outside and she said she had none. We then asked for the wait time and she couldn't even tell us that but stated we could sit at the outside bar and order to go. It was very clear she didn't want us there. While walking to the table we were met with glares from the geriatric patrons. It was very off putting and uncomfortable. My friend and I then left the kids in care of my husband and the older kids and went to order to go so we could sit outside. While ordering the 1.5 year old was outside dipping her hands in the giant wall fountain. Two couples walked out and gasped in disgust like the child was doing something horrible. They then started whispering amongst themselves in the typical yuppie stuck up Wildwood tradition. It was all very weird and I had just placed my order. We decided at that moment to leave. My husband who is retired military after 24 years in service and attended many high class events stated the Clubhouse was very pretentious and if you weren't over 70 years old stumbling around with a martini you weren't accepted. It's sad because there are many families in that community with small children.

We have a lovely community of diverse professional people and interests. Our lakes and community center is one of the best in this part of California! Our Board and Management Team seems to be attentive to the residents suggestions, comments and their well being.
