Best golf instructor in San Diego. All lessons are given on GRASS, not those rubber turf Matt’s (those are the worst thing for your technique). Video is used during every lesson, so the golfer can see what needs to be changed and see the improvement made. And every golf client gets Recap Videos emailed to them so you can see in detail what we worked on.

Any search for the best golf instructor in San Diego should return the name Jim Hassey! I originally took interest in the game of golf to spend more quality time with my husband. After some time at the practice facility and a few rounds of golf, I began to express interest in improving my game. Well, my husband listened. His research led me to Jim. Jim took time BEFORE my INITIAL lesson to inquire what I would like to accomplish with his teachings. He doesn't judge my skill set and has me improving at a pace that is comfortable. His professionalism, energy, and patience for a relative beginner is amazing. Jim's expertise use of video editing before, during and after each lesson is extremely valuable. His "homework" assignments prepare me for my next visit. Thank you, Jim! IH

After playing golf 40 years i took my first lesson. Thank goodness it was with Jim Hassey. His trained eye, expertise, and patience were impressive. Also, Jim's follow-up work is outstanding, i.e. sending a video re-cap with helpful review topics. I will be booking another lesson with Jim after incorporating the improvements he gave me.

Jim is a very competent and knowledgeable instructor. I chose him because of his positive reviews and I can tell you they were accurate. It can be difficult to learn something new but just follow his advice, practice, practice, practice and you will turn the corner. His video recaps are also very helpful. Take a lesson and see for yourself.

I had a great experience with Jim and would recommend him to golfers of all skill levels. He does a phenomenal job of breaking down the swing into easy to understand steps that can even be supported on a physics and bio-mechanics scale. Further, his use of slow-motion video gave me a clear visual understanding of my areas in need of improvement. Through his systematic method of teaching the proper swing, I immediately noticed an improvement.

Jim has helped my golf game quite a bit. I had issues on my swing, especially my position of the club at impact, and he has guided me in the right direction. I have been able to gain about 5-15 yards (depending if I do the moves adequately) per club. He's great for beginners and if you're already an experienced golfer he is awesome at improving whatever issues you may have. His use of technology is also something I find useful because he not only explains to you where your weaknesses are at but you can also see your swing and understand the information he provides for you a whole lot better as to rather just been told where your flaws are at. Overall any golfer will have a great experience taking a lesson with Jim.
