Nice employees at the store & cafe. We rented a boat for the day to troll for trout, rental prices were very reasonable. Amador plants trout pretty regularly so it's difficult NOT to catch something. Shore access is reasonable and not to difficult to find most days.

3x 18 hole disc golf courses from challenging to difficult.. fun, long courses, well designed, nice and cool up here except for deep summer, friendly locals, beware there are a few places on each course throwing over water, which have claimed a couple of my discs.. bring spares or throwaways for these drives!

Camped 4 days 3 nights here. B. Y. O. Rake and broom to tidy up campsite. My honey thought I was funny for bringing but was thankful I did. Lake is beautiful. Great walks. Pond area is fun. Just for info... deer come out at night n they are hungry. We had to store all our food in truck. The first night they ate our bread, tortilla, chips, etc. They are beautiful and mean no harm but are very smart and not scared at all😊

I use to love Lake Amador but went a couple weeks ago with some friends of ours he was handicap an the as we all know lake is low so my our friend couldn't walk to boat ram to steep for handicap people an they wouldn't let Him fish off far boat ramp which no one was using cause lake is low. So we got our money back an won't be back.
