Beautiful huge reserve of land with many places to visit and enjoy. Lots of hiking trails, swimming holes, boulders to leap from, wild flowers and nature everywhere. Nice to visit in all seasons, but Spring, Summer and Fall offer more beautiful landscapes. Great scenes for photographers, artist and nature lovers. The park is large enough for folks to do some spreading out and dogs are welcome in most areas. There are some 'leash on' and some 'leash off' areas, so be sure to read the signs. One bump in the road, (pun intended) is that many of the roads in the park are unpaved and pretty rough. The deeper you travel, the worse it gets. If you have a Jeep, truck, or other ATV this is a good place to drive it, otherwise be kind to your car and drive very slowly.

After being away for so long, it was wonderful to come back and see how this area has been beautified. And very nice to see how many people were taking advantage of the day use area and the well-kept hiking trails. But I would say this: people, please pick up after your dogs!

Several decent trails with great views. We like taking the North Rim trail which is three miles of easy uphill from the parking lot to the trail marker for the B line trail which is about a mile and a half of switch backs descending to the Middle trail and three and 1/2 miles back to the parking lot. Be careful, there is lots of poison oak right now, some sticking out over the trail on the way down.

For an exciting, exhilarating putting for anyone including grandparents, toddlers, dogs, romantic couples, it's amazing. Waterfalls nature and picnic tables. Clean bathrooms and barbeque areas and horse trails. For walking biking swimming star gazing and more. My all time favorite place in Chico ♡ Is give it 5 ♡'s. Lol

Amazing creek and scenery. There are great bike paths for bikers to go on. There are beautiful plants, lakes, creeks and the list can go on. Yes this is not the best place to bring toddlers and people who NEED whelechairs, but for commonly active people it is great place to visit. I recommend to you that if you are in the area then you should go to this place for not only for beautiful sites but to get some fresh air. And no there is no WiFi.
