If you're just a beginner and looking for a cheap golf outing this is a good place to play. Otherwise, from a standpoint of course condition and challenge the place leaves a lot to be desired. If you want a good challenge and a finely manicured and well-maintained course go a few miles further out to Guilford and play the Guilford Lakes Golf Course. It's also a par 3 course. You'll be paying more of course but at least you're playing on a real golf course. Several years ago a fellow by the name of Tony Celone managed Twin Lakes. It seems to have been in better condition then than it is now.P.S. Decided to give this place a second try. It was closed for the entire 2014 season and a big deal was being made of the reopening in 2015 which was supposedly going to showcase some real renovations. Only thing that was done was the installation of bent grass greens. The greens are good now but they don't fit the rest of the course because you still drive off mats and the fairways still resemble a cow pasture. It's only a few dollars cheaper for nine holes on weekdays and weekends than Guilford Lakes or the Highland Greens Par 3 in Prospect. Anyway in view of the new greens I'll be generous and raise my rating to two stars.P.P.S. I forgot about something. What was previously the ninth hole and is now the fourth hole had the tee box situated back against a rock wall that's near the condominium complex. That was done away with for whatever reason and the tee box for that hole is now where it was years ago near the wood stairs coming up off the driveway. It took all the challenge away from that hole. The sand traps are still so small that you can just about stand in them if you hit your ball in there. After a substantial rain the lower part of the course, holes 1,2 and 3 are a muddy quagmire. I played this course for many years and years back I hit off the 2nd tee to just short of the green and my ball plugged. I haven't found it to this day. Sorry I have to go back to one star.

A great 9-hole field for a fraction of normal price. Even $14 for the whole course on a weekend is not a lot by far. Grass could be better mown thought. And overall this is a beginner field. Just for me
