Augusta it ain't. But so what! This is a great place to take someone who is learning the game. It's a hacks course but also at the same time it is challenging. Par is 66 but you still have to hit shots. Sometimes when it's not busy you can take your time and treat the experience as one big practice round and take shots from all over. Nice people, but do watch out for flying balls.

This is not a very hard course, is hard to find and has a lot of things that are not in its favor. YET I really enjoy this course and its a great place to practice your game. The pro shop is nice, good people and always make it easy. Its a short course with a lot of short par 4's, the type if you have good drive, you can drive the green and shoot for Eagle! Sure its not that hard of a course but who doesnt like shooting for Eagle or Birdie! Its 18 holes and some of the holes are pretty challenging and they have a few long 230 yard par 3 holes, and some tough greens to putt on for certain holes. Its in a wooded area and you will see some deer on certain holes, which is always nice.

Beautiful scenery. Tee off of hills. No sand bunkers (not necessarily a good thing). Staff are very friendly. Great price. Twenty dollars well spent for sure.

Forest preserve course. Rustic, full range of yardages. A few surprises you don't see locally. Not fond of the mat tee boxes.

Went here in July 2017 after several floods. Mosquitoes wanted to eat us alive, had to cancel the round of golf early at the 13th hole because we couldn't even stand in one place to hit a shot for 3 seconds before getting attacked by a swarm of mosquitoes. The course had a lot of mud and standing water but that is understandable after the week of heavy rains. Hopefully the course is better when you go. Overall, clean easy course without sand pits.
