One of our favorite state parks. Great campground-although very busy. We usually book well ahead. Hotel area is comfortable with a relaxed lodge type feel. Driftwood Restaurant is excellent at breakfast ( don't miss the buffet) and slightly better than average other times. We enjoyed some local live music on the patio; nice experience. Alcohol is a recent addition but the crowd & dancing couples seemed well behaved. Often see wedding parties & business meetings here. Banquet areas are well separated from other guests but pretty accessible to the amenities.

Wonderful, friendly service. It's one of the best parks Kentucky has to offer for exploration and water front fun. I love that it's right at our back door pretty much. The trails are gorgeous. You can plan almost every event there. It's where I did my wedding.

Very outdated when it comes to the rooms and the decor, but still very cozy. The lodge room was nice and clean and we had a little coffeemaker and iron/ironing board. The cottage was a nice 2 bedroom with pretty much what you need in the kitchen to prepare your own meals. Also a little outdated in the look and decor. Beautiful surrounding and very charming woodsy look. Very family friendly. Extremely friendly and helpful staff, both in the lodge restaurant and reception.

We went to barren river lake lodge state park for a car show. While we were there we ate at the driftwood restaurant .it was very good. We had the 2 piece catfish dinner. The catfish fillets were big fillets and very good. The service was very good also.

We rented a two bedroom, two bathroom cabin. With a full kitchen, dining room, living room, and balcony, it provided everything we needed for a comfortable vacation with three kids and three adults. The park itself is beautiful and within driving distance of Mammoth Caves.
