This course needs work. Very bad management and maintenance program. I actually feel bad for them because I think they are trying but they just do not know what they are doing. The poor kid taking care of the carts obviously got there too late and was running around trying to basically run the course by himself acting as cart boy and starter. He didn't have a clue what was going on. They need more/better help and expertise to get this place in shape. The golf carts are ALL junk complete with moldy, ripped, duct taped seats, missing windshields and smoking engines. Just bite the bullet and lease some new ones, it's gonna save you time and money in the long run. The carts were not even wiped down when we got there, we had to do it ourselves and I was happy to because this kid looked completely overwhelmed with everything going on. We went off early and EVERY tee garbage can was full of trash from the day before and had not been emptied. Come on guys, get it together. There is absolutely no excuse for not emptying the trash. It's not a huge deal but it is 100% symbolic of the attitude of the course employees and caliber the course is currently operating at. The course has a lot of potential but has a long way to go. Many bunkers completely unplayable. I would let a lot of this slide if they weren't charging $50 a round. This is a $20 a round course at best right now. I could go on and on and on with things here. I hope they will read this and take some action. It will take years and a lot of hard work to get this course where it needs to be. I'm not sure the people working here care or are even capable of handling that kind of work load but I hope they try because this could be a great place. I know golf courses are expensive and difficult to manage/maintain. This course either needs a significant investment in time and money or a price drop in greens fees.

Beautiful golf course! The layout is fantastic and the nature to enjoy along the way is wonderful. The greens are in great shape and there aren't a bunch of geese in the way, making it a pleasurable experience for golfers (and their shoes) on their outings. The staff are great as well! Would highly recommend to all!

One of the greatest northern Oakland county courses that doesn't get enough attention. Gorgeous layout with 27 holes, very secluded feeling on most holes, and cart paths between holes provide many opportunities for reflection. Course combines nice playability with enough challenging water carries and difficult pin placements to make it interesting. Courses were in great shape minus the traps, but signs posted indicated that they would soon be renovated. Reasonable greens fees and friendly staff. Don't let the lack of a fancy clubhouse deter you from trying this course. Money spent where it matters...on the course.

I would have given it a five star golf experience but the price was unrealistically high especially in the middle of October . I will not be returning to this golf course solely due to the expense. If they do choose to lower their rates to be competitive with other courses that are even better, then I will return.

Love this course. We play Copper once or twice a week all golf season. The fairways and greens are all in good condition. The bunkers aren't good but you can see work underway to improve the bunkers. The course is challenging with wetlands and a few ponds you will need to avoid. It is a good idea to bring a few extra golf balls. We are older golfers so we play the white tees on most holes but move forward on a few holes to make them in range for us. Based on pace of play and value, if I could only play one course in this area Copper Hills would be my choice.
