The Arthur Hills, rated 4-1/2 stars, is a spectacle of design and beauty, a demanding course that requires patience and respect. The layout is home to many traps and hazards, with relatively generous fairways leading to challenging green complexes ....... plenty of risks to take on and rewards to be had.

I have played a handful of exceptional golf courses and based on my Oct. 10th visit, this course takes the cake. The course conditions were absolutely perfect. Lush and green everywhere and greens rolled true and weren't beat up. I put this ahead of many of the top 25 public courses in MI, at least the number of them I have played. I am a little surprised this course is left off of so many lists. I even had a family of deer watch me on a par3 and I met them again on the next tee box as they walked across the fairway. LOTS of holes that would stand out as signature at most courses. Treat after treat, especially hole 13. Wow! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Course conditions are outstanding and this is a great Northern Michigan course. The practice facilities are great and the staff could not be nicer. The best Boyne course in the Highlands so make this your first choice of the 4 they have on property.
