It's a pretty solid 9 hole course so I'm giving it a well earned 4 stars. The pros: I'm not a beginner but I'm not skilled either and I found it to be fairly challenging for my level of play, think rolling hills. The fairways are very open particularly the 2nd hole and the par 4s and 5s are long so it's really nice if, like me, you're not a beginner but not great either. I can hit the ball a good distance but I tend to slice and I never lost a ball into the woods here. The staff was very friendly and the price was right where it should be for a 9 hole course at $15 to play with cart. The cons: Not much really. The carts are pretty tired and worn out. The roof on ours was crooked like someone had rolled it. Most of them had cracked seats and our really didn't want to get moving once or twice but nothing I can't overlook. My ONLY real complaint was that the fairways needed to be mowed. I didn't loose any balls to hazards or the woods but I lost 3 balls on fairways because the grass was high enough I couldn't see the damn things unless I was right on top of them. I would recommend Indian Head for a quick, challenging game. It's worth playing and I will likely play here again.
