Nice course for beginners, might be too easy for an intermediate or advanced golfer. Beautiful area. Could use a little more attention to mowing. Greens are fast!

For way out here it's a decent course. For those used to country clubs, etc, it won't hold a candle.

The golf course is home to two high school teams. Great nine hole course whether you are a kid just starting out or a guy still trying to figure the game out.

This course is getting four stars because it has a decent layout and was in respectable condition. I played on a Saturday afternoon at 1:30 and did not wait once. Tee boxes could use some work but for the price it's about what I expected. I'd go back.

I was really impressed with Bonavista. I didn't expect much because I generally don't expect a lot with 9 hole courses, they tend to be a little less well maintained in our area than most of the 18 hole courses I've played. I decided to swing in here one Monday afternoon on a day off from work for a quick relaxing practice round. Pros: Man is this course well maintained! Despite a serious drought this year in our region the greens were some of the best maintained I've seen, perfectly cut and quite challenging. The holes were long, (2x 5s / 5x 4s) but their idea of a 4 was closer to what I usually see as a 5 in our area (The 5th hole is over 500 yards). The fairways where properly cut so I never lost a ball on this course, and they are extremely forgiving by being decently wide. Further they even maintain and cut the grass right up the the trunks of all the trees on the course, I don't think I saw a stick or leaf on the ground on the course. Finally it's a comfortable size to walk, there are really no outrageous hills or things of that nature to worry about and walking 9 was only $12. Friendly staff too. Cons: They were watering the day I went but at 2PM on a Monday afternoon I can't really fault them so the greens were a wet when I set out and the grounds keeper pretty well followed me around the place turning them back on when he saw I was off the hole. I will definitely be golfing here again when I'm looking for a quick game.
