Holiday Valley is a great place for Skiing and Snowboarding from beginner levels to black diamonds they have a good amount of trails to satisfy all guest. If you are a college student I highly recommended getting the season pass if you plan to go more than 5 times, students season passes are about $200 but can only be purchased at the beginning of the season. I highly recommend for a fun day with family and friends

One of the nicest and largest resorts within 3 hours of Cleveland. Lots of runs, good elevation. The prices are hard to swallow but what resort doesn't have sky high prices anymore? The lodges have really good food (again, prices are high). We generally make a long weekend of it since it's a bit too far to drive for a day trip.

We drove 5.5 hours from Michigan to see what the other side of Lake Erie is like for skiing and all hoped and expectations were exceeded. 1. The staff we encountered were all very friendly and helpful. 2. The terrain is varied, well-maintained, and expansive. 3. Lake effect snow. 4. Lodging is basic, clean, and has everything you need. 5. Plenty of ski/board shops around town. In summary, the Petoskey area resorts are a 4 hour drive for us but we find it more than worth the extra hour and a half to get the elevation of Holiday Valley.

It's a great time. A lot of the runs are big and wide, and they're are some cool glades. Varied and fun terrain. Our place at the Tamarack Lodge was nice, clean and moments from a lift. Free ski check was nice. Dining options are a little expensive, but that's to be expected on a resort. I had a good time, would go back.

I've spent a good amount of time at Holiday Valley. Only living 45 min away makes for a no brainer drive when the fresh pow comes down. The staff is great and the social media outreach is fantastic. Hills are always well groomed and orderly. Lifts never seem to be broke down or stopped for an extended period of time. You can tell everyone is passionate about the place. All the trails are great l, especially the woods trails.
