Good driving range. Mats in good condition. Balls in reasonable shape.

Course was beautiful and challenging. Sand trap could use work but that's all. That being said, We spent the last 4 hole being followed by a ground keeper on a gang mower. And mind you this is at 12 on a holiday weekend. This guy, who looked like Santa Claus on summer vaca, was mowing on our drives and several times we had to lay up over him and only by a few yards. At one point he sat behind one of our guys in the group, mower running 20 yards away. Even after yelling at him. We pass him on that hole so he skips a hole and then mows infront of us again on the last tee. One of our guys had to put it over his head, for the 4th time, from the tee to drop it 20 yards from him onto the green. We go inside a complain and the worker inside couldn't careless. Said he will talk to the guy. We will take our business elsewhere. Would love to play there again but won't because of one grounds keeper.

Powderhorn is a decent course that plays fairly easy. However, because of this, it seems to be popular with the older crowd. Occasionally we get behind a group that cannot maintain the pace of play and the course will back up. I've also had problems with the range machine being out of balls in the past but that seems to only happen when they have outings and don't pick the range. Overall it's a good course that plays some water and tight wooded areas.
