Stone ridge is my favorite track in the valley. Every hole is unique and beautifully designed. The bad news is that it is in the worst shape of any course in the valley and that includes oak knoll. In a perfect world I could hope for a new owner and some TLC. This course could be one of the nicest in the valley.

This is an excellent track with beautiful views teaming with wildlife. It's also in a quiet area not lined with houses; this is how golf should be played. It would be 5 stars but next to some of the greens it's a little scrubby from water sitting there. They should just make them grass bunkers with drainage. Some of the tee boxes are uneven but you can find a flat spot. Some dirt/sand would sure help level them out. The greens are poa-ana with nice true rolls. The black tee boxes are tucked back in the flora/fauna and blue/white/red spread out in front. If this course had top maintenance it could be a 5+ star course. It is not a goat track nor a cow pasture. Tee boxes are elevated and fairways have a nice flow. Some are shaped both left and right. It's not long enough for pro's but perfect for most golfers. I'm comparing to courses in Southern California and Hawaii where I have spent my 50 years of playing golf. played on 3-30-18. Winter/spring conditions 90* cart rule. 2 species of hawks, northern flickers, many different ducks, Canadian geese, turkeys, lakes surrounded by reeds are some of the nature here.
