If you're looking for a quiet and relaxing spot to play a round, look no further than Lehman. Though easy to miss, as it's tucked away, without many markers, aside from a road sign (Golf Course Rd) and a hanging name plate featuring a golfer in mid swing, you'd be remiss in passing this course by! For a fair rate of $13 on weekdays and $15 on weekends, you can play nine, of just par 3 and 4 holes. Tack on a buck to rent a hand cart, because did I mention this is a walking only course. While this may be a turn off for some, I'd advise to give it a shot before turning away. The course winds its way up and down hills. You couldn't ride it without someone doing something ill advised and rolling the cart. Some hills are a bit steep, but all the better to work on shot placement! Nestled among a slew of oak and apple trees, you won't find sand bunkers, but instead acorns and deer. Oh, and the resident cats and kittens scramble about the shop. If you're lucky, you can sneak in a scratch behind the ears. Experienced golfers, don't stop reading yet. Yes, there are no par 5 opportunities, but you'll enjoy the challenge of staying out of the trees. You also won't have to deal with the traffic of the busier and elitist country clubs. Tee times are not required, but have no fear; there's rarely a wait. The greens and fairways are well kept. The rough isn't impossible and you can usually find your ball if you stray off course. A road runs down the middle of the course, but you'll only have to cross it once. Hole 3 runs parallel to a major road, so sometimes there is the nuisance of someone honking, but non-golfers will be obnoxious that way. I'll go back to the joy of finding a course that is quiet and quick to play without the annoyance of waiting or getting stuck behind people. Serious or amateur golfer that you may be, your go-to list of places to play is incomplete without Lehman.

Well maintained. With all the rain this summer the fairways are in nice shape.
