Play this course a few times a year. It plays like your Texas municipal course. Lots of open spaces, and not a ton of areas to lose a ball. A few holes have water in play, but it is mostly open. The most intimidating hole is definitely the par 4 eight hole. Just don't hit it left. Overall a good place to get in a fairly stress-free 18 holes.

pretty little Kick Ass Coffee Joint that I can guarantee no one ever considers to stop at

My how things have changed. Weeds, worm castings, fire ant mounds are everywhere, even on the fairways. The greens have no fringes due to weeds encroaching onto the greens. You can be inches off the green and not be able to putt due to the ground conditions. If you play weekday mornings the course is always extremely wet, waaaay over-watered. Rarley does one come off the course and not have to clean the mud off one's golf shoes. Greens frequently are affected by algae/fungus due to this over-watering. It is a municipal course but the city doesn't seem to care how poorly maintained it is as long as they make money. Two years ago when we joined it was the best deal in town. Now I consider it overpriced given the conditions. Joined a different golf course as we could no longer tolerate the poor conditions.

Solid little public course in middle of town. Cheap and ususally easy to get tee time on.
