Finally made it out to Gus Wortham since the renovation, all I can say is Wow!. What a great job on the new course layout, beautiful fairways, very nice greens. When the next phase is complete, this will be the place to be, can't wait to get out there again.

Driving range was great but course too crowded to enjoy a round, or even 9 holes. Will return to check it out. Looks really nice!

Rebuilt course is fun to play! As for the rest, not so much. Still no beer or burgers or place to sit after a round. Putting green is a mile from #1 tee and there is no chipping green, Trees and branches are piled up on every hole and in the bayous. And the clay they used to reshape the fairways is still clay and you still can't play for days after a rain. I wonder what they'll do when the grass needs watering this summer? Cart path only, I guess, which will be okay because Gus is a great walking course. Bring your own pull cart though, theirs rent for almost the same as electric..

Incredible job done bringing this course back! Greens, fairways, practice facility, all done excellent. It is perfect for walking or riding, the elevation changes are very unique for courses in this area. Architect Baxter Spann and the HGA have done a top notch job. More work on the way with chipping green and club house. I’m excited to get back out there.

Course was okay. Here for a bachelor party and called ahead to make sure that they had left handed rental clubs (they said they did). Get there and it turns out they have 1 left handed rental set so I was out of luck (already rented out). Paid $50 bucks to sit in a cart and basically ride along for 18 holes. Check in with them at the turn and they still don’t have the rentals back. Staff was unapologetic and pretty much acted in a way that said “well that sucks for you, but it’s not my problem.”
