A friend and I recently played TR (10/19/2017) for the third time. The golf course has always been challenging and in great shape. After teeing off around 3:00PM, we got stuck behind a tournament and the pace of play significantly slowed after the front 9. Rather than wait 5 minutes between shots, we decided to go back and find a gap and play a mixed bag of holes on the front 9. Once we came back around to hole 1, the marshal stopped us and said we couldn't play more than 18. Once we told him the situation, he let us continue playing. We played a couple more holes and about the time we couldn't see our golf balls anymore, the assistant pro drove out to tell us to come in. We gladly picked up and followed him back to the clubhouse. Once we arrived back at the clubhouse, we were met by the (what I assume to be based on age) GM. He began yelling at my friend and me telling us that we needed to be in before sundown and what the hell were we doing playing being on the course until dark. Both of us took offense to his attitude and general tone (at this point he was screaming at us like we were kids). We were then told by the GM that they called the police on us; which is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. After several minutes of arguing with each other we cleaned out our cart and walked back to our cars. After being interrogated by this guy, we mistakenly left keys/phone in the cart. We let them know the situation and the assistant went in the cart barn and grabbed our things (keep in mind they were soaked from them washing the cart with our thing in it). I've always recommended TR to others, but this was an absolute joke. It was clear the only thing the GM was made about was having to stay until 7:30PM. Hey buddy, I've worked in the golf business and 7:30 isn't late! Two young professionals trying to get a couple extra holes in before dark won't kill you. Between golf and drinks/food, we spent close to $150; you shouldn't treat paying customers that way (or anyone for that matter). If you play TR, just know what kind of people you'll be dealing with.
