Eh. Over rated. Not worth wasting money. There's better things to do in Texas. Pay ten per car and per person. To sit on a river? The Guadalupe and San Marcos are free and no hassle from bunches of cops at every river entrance, exit and cops on boat patrol like there guarding top secret weapons.... it's just a river float not a federal bank

If you rent a pavilion take your own cleaning supplies. The pavilion was disgusting. Food wrappers everywhere, balls of hair and sippy cups, random hats and diapers. The Park and Recreation operator is rude and unhelpful. The rangers were not much better, stating "there's not much we can do for you". The maintenance crew showed up after three phone calls and two hours of waiting. They were the only personable ones who were helpful. All of our next events will not be done in New Braunfels. It's shameful that a town this beautiful can have such horrible staff. Perhaps retraining should be done since it's tourist season.

I had an awful experience with the city govt. They charge $10 for parking at a city park. I received ticket for $62.00. I have no legal recourse until August and I live in OK. Just visiting for 3 days Other reasons, Lodging is extremely costly. Meals costly. The city charges for tube rentals, transportation, entry to float Comal a free flowing spring fed river. The rule change every year.
