At the Wintergreen Resort in the famous Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, you'll find two very contrasting 18-hole championship courses. Accessible to resort guests, the Devils Knob layout sits atop a mountain of the same name. 12 miles down the mountain at much lower altitude is the year-round Stoney Creek course, which boasts 27-holes playable on a daily fee basis. One to include on your play list if you are in the area and staying at the resort.

Great views and challenging course if you cannot hit them straight

Played the course 3 weeks before this post. Awesome staff, great layout, superb condition. Firm, challenging greens. Don’t miss the fairways, especially when the leaves have fallen, you will lose a lot of golf balls!

Great course. Greens in superb condition.

Mountain course with extraordinary views. Very tight layout up and down and around. Put away your driver with the exception of a few holes. Usually in great condition. Always have someone as a spotter for your ball due to the sometimes narrow fairways and doglegs, as well as the leaves. Bring extra balls. It is still worth it. Nice driving range and putting green. There is a snack bar for back breakfast/lunch items. Nice pro shop. Devil's Grill restaurant has very nice patio overlooking 18th green with appropriate food and service, though they have cut back some of their hours, so double check.
