Beautiful hotel! The one complaint I have, which really infuriated me at the time, is the front desk lady! I went to the front desk to ask for a water bottle at 12:30 am on 2/20/2018 and I was completely ignored by the woman at the front desk typing on the computer for solid 15 seconds when I approached. It was extremely awkward, as it was midnight and I was the only person in the lobby or what felt like the entire hotel. So I approached and just stood there for quite some time before she even acknowledged my presence!! Once she finally acknowledged my presence, she very shortly asked me what I wanted. All I wanted was a Mini water bottle which I know the hotel has on hand. Then she sent me to a completely different floor. They stock the rooms and the pool area with them for anyone to take so I know they were available. She was very rude and her actions and demeanor… And there are plenty of other hotels in Charlottesville to stay where the employees are not outwardly rude. Honestly I would feel differently if she would have just acknowledged my presence when I walked up, finished her work, then helped me. Otherwise ignoring a person did 15 seconds is a long awkward time in the middle of the night I’m an empty lobby.

Great hotel and staff. I prepaid for valet parking which was nice. Location of the hotel is at the end of the market square walkway with lots of unique shops and restaurants, we ate at the Melting Pot for dinner. Nice view of the Rotunda and mountains of Charlottesville.

Great location with easy access to the mall. Rooms are large and staff is great. The only downside is that the rooms feel a little dated.

I stayed for one night for a weekend getaway. I was excited as Omni is usually a high quality location. Unfortunately this one isn't. They were decent looking rooms, could use some updating but nothing major at first look. But the mattress was horrendous. They need to be replaced ASAP. I wanted to leave in the middle of the night due not getting any sleep because it was such an uncomfortable bed. I know that "quiet time" starts at 10:30pm yet people were loud at midnight. Only having one vending machine (that is out of half of the options) is unacceptable. But I really appreciated the man at the front desk opening the gift shop at 12:30am just for me to get a soda. Overall, I would find a different hotel next visit.

With this Omni what you are paying extra for are the available anemities, service, and location. It is attached to Cville downtown which is tons of fun to walk and relax. All Omni people I encountered were super nice and able to answer questions. The downside (and why it's not a 5 rating) is the bathroom. Not what I would expect for a 4 star. Teeny tiny with a standard shower tub. Didn't look to be in the best shape either.
