Very large park with a playground, dog park, basketball and tennis courts, baseball field, and a Frisbee golf course. They have a very small skateboard park which needs to be improved. Great place to throw down a blanket and have a picnic

A great Hidden Gem in the center of historic Old Southwest neighborhood. Most people don't know but there is a tennis and basketball court on top as well as a huge field to play many numerous games. There is also the city's first dog park with two areas one for smaller dogs and one for larger. They do also have a playground that is in front of Highland Park Elementary. The Alexander Gish house is also located at the end of Walnut Avenue but inside the park. They have monthly Community meetings every third Thursday of the month except for December.

Highland park is a wonderful place. Friendly people of all ages gather here. There's a joging/bike path, skate park, tennis court, frisbee golf course, basketball court, baseball/softball field, playground for kids, a football/lacrosse/soccer field, and a dog park. All that and there's still a large area with just trees, grass, picnic tables, and walking paths.
