We love this place and want to share with friends. Know the staff by name and worth the 40 mile one way trip to get there. A lovely country drive we do monthly in all seasons. Husband loves the fish and chips. I like the rib eye steak or prime rib and salad. Sometimes it is just a selection of happy hour treats like lettuce wedge, coconut prawns, and pulled pork sliders with house made bourbon bbq sauce. The view is incredible. For years husband would not go there because he thought it would be too hoighty tight and expensive. But got to go for my birthday. He found out that it was so comfortable and he didn't have to dress up. And has very reasonable prices. Now it is his go to place to relax. This weekend Met my long lost cousin at a family gathering in eastern WA. Found they live in Issaquah. So, now the Blue Heron is our next Rendezvous for family to hang out. This place is a real gift for the community to treasure. You gotta come and refresh your spirit.

Good special for golf on golf now. Good prices on pub food and beer. It is a long course however so be ready for long day. Good place to play, though. Decently kept and quiet with good customer service.

THE GOOD: 1. Very pretty, peaceful place with Snoqualmie River running alongside and lots of trees, shrubs and wetlands, no houses, no freeways. Heard and saw lots of birds. 2. Laid back, not rushed. Of course, we were playing on Tuesday early afternoon, so not the busiest time to play. 3. New clubhouse with good food service, bathrooms, bar, pro shop, etc. 4. Flat, very walkable. My fitness app said I had walked 4.6 miles after playing 18 holes. 5. Not a lot of bunkers! THE NOT SO GOOD: 1. The course is not well-maintained. There were bare spots. The greens were bumpy. Some fairways were not mowed, so even if you hit a perfect shot in the "fairway," you were hitting out of the equivalent of rough. The course is situated in the bend of a river and is low-lying so tends to be on the wet side. We've had a very wet winter and spring in Western Washington, so I'm guessing they've been unable to mow some areas because the ground is too soft and wet. NEITHER HERE NOR THERE: The course is short, so the course rating and slope are not high, but it was more difficult than we initially thought. The fairways visually look wide open, but then you notice that often only a fairly narrow portion of the fairway has been mowed. The rough is not so much long as extremely thick. We found it very difficult to hit out of the rough. The greens can be unpredictable.

I came here for a company event. It was fun and the place was nice.

New ownership breathed new life! Just played today and greens are 8/10. Just a few patchy spots, but way better than during the bad years. Restaurant is getting remodeled (again), but the burger I had last year under the new management was spectacular. Bring mosquito spray in the summer. One of the true bargains in Seattle golf. Very flat and easier than most courses.
