South Hills has three wonderful ballrooms to pick from to host any event at. I will be having my wedding reception in the grand ballroom. It has a stunning view over looking part of the golf course. The dinning area is very spacious and can be decorated a variety of ways. There is a private bar for your guests as well. The catering is also very great. I can't wait to have my reception here. The friendly and helpful staff have made booking very easy and stress free.

The new owner of South Hills is definitely making improvements to this facility. The golf course is beautiful and well maintained. The staff is wonderful as well, very friendly and accommodating to our needs. There are more changes and improvements coming for 2014, can't wait to see what's next. I definitely would recommend this facility for any event you might have. Fun place!

If you enjoy golf, this is probably not the place for you. I've played this course a few times before, but not in several years. It's an interesting layout and is reasonably well maintained. My round this morning was scheduled right after several foursomes of obnoxious loudmouths who did whatever they felt like and did it SLOWLY. The round took an even 4 hours and 45 minutes. Most of my time was spent sitting in my cart right behind the group ahead of us while they stood around or hit on the beverage cart girl or urinated off the side of the tee box or went through their elaborate pre-shot routines before hitting a shot and then immediately loudly shouting a vulgarity. I called the course shortly after my round to politely express these concerns to management and the response I got was, "How would you expect us to have any control over what goes on out on the golf course?" So there you have it. If you want to pay your fee and have an anything goes free-for-all out on the course, have at it. If you want to pay your fee and just have a regular enjoyable experience playing a round of golf in a reasonable amount of time, don't count on it.
