Great experience with the husband! Definitely on the higher side for pricing but a nice dinner treat for special occasions. My husband got the exotic dinner and I got the lobster and steak. Also upgrade for the French onion soup... so good!!!

Super neat experience. You can cook your own fondue in oil or on hot stones. Wait staff was fantastic! My only criticism was that the air circulation was almost non existent, and the air was very smoky and greasy. The walls and floors were dirty, and we left the place with a strong oder in our hair and clothes. Still fun though.

Went here for an anniversary dinner with my partner. The experience was actually really fun despite the idea of cooking my own dinner - haha! Had the four course meal with the steak and prawns and upgraded my soup to the french onion. I was nervous that some reviews mentioned leaving still hungry after you eat but that really wasn't the case for me. I was practically stuffed before even making it to the meat! Everything tasted pretty darn good and was reasonably priced considering what is all included. I had one beer and wasn't about to spend the money for a second so I would recommend not coming here for drinks as it's pretty pricey but then again most restaurants are. The staff was quite nice and very informative with the whole process. They were even able to seat us a bit before the time of our reservation. That being said - I recommend booking reservations as we ran in to some people who had just walked in during the early evening and were told they could not have a table until 10:30PM. We used the hot stone as I wasn't overly convinced I would enjoy the hot oil experience. I wore my sunglasses on top of my head and when i had returned back to my hotel, I noticed they were completely coated in grease. All in all , liked the experience a lot. Probably won't return as there is nothing on the menu I would absolutely need to have again and I'm not exactly interested in the exotic meats but definitely worth going at least once!

First time trying fondue. Small portions of beef and chicken you cook yourself. They fill you up on bread and cheese. Service person was good. I found the final bill a bit much though. 400.00 for 4 was a bit much. Although 3 people in the party had 100.00 worth of wine. at 10.00 a glass. Decor is nice and washrooms clean. A nice place for Banff.

Grizzly house is definitely a place you want to stop during a visit to Banff! They have a very fun atmosphere, with telephones at each table to call around and talk with other guests, a 4 course fondue dinner and many different unique meat choices (like shark, alligator, rattlesnake and ostrich!!!)that you can sizzle up right at your table ! Our waitress was fantastic and explained thoroughly how the whole experience worked, and made sure to check in periodically as we cooked our meat to make sure we were doing it right for each specific type. We loved the experience so much that on our three day weekend trip, we stopped there for dinner two nights in a row! I did notice many reviews stating the portion sizes of the meat were small in comparison to the prices you pay, but we experienced the 4 course dinner and I was more than pleased with the meat portion considering there is a soup/salad course, then a bread and cheese fondue, the meats, followed by dessert. I felt as though if there was more meats, we would have been too full for the dessert. The pricing is moderate to high, but you get what you pay for. If you're looking for a unique dining experience, check out Grizzly House
