Overpriced and inattentive. I arrived at Ticino's with great expectations from the reviews on Google. I was seated appropriately, and we ordered, but my guest and I waited over one hour for our meal. It seems that we had ordered the exact same meal as another table and rather than double checking... the kitchen assumed that there was a duplicate and did not prepare our meal. The server was relatively inattentive and after being called over realized that 3 other tables had been served. Apologies were lukewarm from the server... no manager either was on duty or cared to come out and apologize and we received 2 teaspoons of sorbet as an apology. Poor service and food was average so I would not recommend this ... there are better places in Banff.

A Swiss opens a restaurant anywhere outside of Switzerland and it's usually good. This place is top notch. The menu is a classic, and it doesn't disappoint. Authentic dishes from different parts of Switzerland that anyone will enjoy tremendously especially if you appreciate Italian fare. The wine list is excellent. I go here whenever I am near Banff.

Every year I took a ski trip in Banff. I made sure to come here to have my ski fondue (its become a tradition now). Great place, nice service and good price. I'll keep coming back for more, that's for sure. I haven't tried the Italian dishes but they look very nice, maybe next time.

Wanted the Swiss fondue experience. It was 2 blocks from our hotel so we tried it out. Cheese fondue for appetizer was good - bread dipped in hot cheese. My daughter loved it. For dinner we had the beef in hot oil fondue. It was Ok, but not as good as the appetizer, but fun to cook the beef at our table. We were too full to try the chocolate dessert fondue. Service was friendly and attentive. Price seemed a little high for what we got, even knowing this is a resort town where all restaurants are on the high side. Worth coming if you want to try fondue, otherwise I would skip it.
