The food is based on a fusion of Portuguese and african flavors. They are best known for their african birds eye chili sauce called peri peri. This stuff is HOT. it is very good tasting though and to their credit they offer a variety of heat levels for those of us less able to tolerate the full strength version. It is a chain restaurant that originated in South Africa but I only know that because I googled them after I ate there. I'd definitely go again though the price was a little more than I am used to.

Spicy Portuguese goodness. Sourced from local chicken grilled to perfection, the best part is you can season it with just the right sauce to suit your taste.

I came to nandos thinking it was like KFC... but I was wrong it's the best chicken I've ever had in my life so much so that I'm writing a review which I have never done. I'm doing this because who ever hasn't tried it is really missing out. The management here is exactly what you would expect from a 5 star restaurant, they treat really well and are very informative about their food!! If I could give it 10 stars I would!!

Recently I went here to get some dessert to go, we ordered the dessert and then sat down and waited. After 15 minutes I went up to the till to ask why it was taking so long, as it is just kept in the freezer and they only have to take it out and put it in the to go box. The lady that was there went and got it for us and when she handed us the container it was clear that she used her fingers to transfer the dessert into the plastic to go box because there was chocolatey finger prints smeared almost over the container. Also while we were standing there, there was a man working in the kitchen that very much needed a belt. His pants were below his nearly naked butt, and he kept shoving his bare hands down his pants to yank them up,and then touching food. We watched him do it about 6 times in 2 minutes time. So off put from this experience I'll never be back. Gag.

The food is pretty good, the service isn't. I understand that this is a fast-casual restaurant and a small wait is needed. However, this does not excuse the fact that my food was ready in 10 mins but took another 10 mins to get into my hands. Conversely, the food was cooked right and tasted fairly good, albeit a bit overpriced (nothing they can do, it's a chain).
