We spent the night in the city last weekend and my other half wanted a steak and this place was recommended. I have to say that I was not that excited when we arrived as the decor in the place is very 90's and dated for a downtown location. But we were greeted with a complementary glass of champagne and escorted to our table. Once we were seated we were served by a lovely lady that made great suggestions on food and drinks and we quickly ordered. We enjoyed the tuna poke to start, and both of us ordered a steak. We were very impressed with the level of food quality and timeliness of our food. We would definitely go back.

Saltlik is one of the better Calgary steakhouses. The food is great and their staff are always very attentive. There is a daily happy hour with beer, wine and cocktails for a good price. Standing outside is the large metal horse which always stops tourists in their tracks. The location is definitely a plus. Only a short walk from many downtown attractions and the C-Train for when you want to get home after a few drinks.

We were here with colleagues for a dinner. Even though I do not need red meat, I had plenty of options to choose from. Ordered pasta - was delicious and extremely large portions. Duck fat fries were too good. Speedy and friendly service. We were in the bar area and they had a happy hour going the whole night even though we got there just after 6 PM. very good choice next to the convention centre.

Pricey but great tasting food. Enjoyed their sirloin steak, but the real show stopper was their asparagus with hollandaise sauce. Wasn't too busy early in the evening of a business day but got busy later on. Portion sizes were decent. The entire meal without a drink was $50

Really like going here. I like their fish and their steaks. Very good food, great service and very nice atmosphere. There’s a good amount of room here and most of the time I’ve been here they’ve been able to seat us without a reservation. Not to say it’s not busy ever since my friends have had to wait quite a bit at times and maybe I was just lucky. Good place overall but a little on the pricey side. Parking can be a problem.
