Normally I love this place. The meat wouldn't quite compete with the best bbq of the deep south but for here its as good as it gets. Also love the cornbread, smokestack corn and great drink selection. Only 3 stars though as didn't have great experience last time. I normally go for 1/2 price meat after 10:00pm and buy a pound of meat. I don't quite get through it and take a little bit of leftovers back home . This time though the server gave us a whole big lecture that they don't let you take away leftover meat. Fair enough I suppose, although it's never been an issue before. However, she wouldn't let it rest and came back to the table 10+ times while we were eating, asking very sarcastically if we could get through it all. She didn't have any skill as a server in asking but would just appear, barge in the middle of our conversation and leave before we even had a chance to ask for another drink etc. She knocked the my jacket off the back of my chair twice as well. The ladies in our group particularly appreciate the constant comments on how much they were eating. The service wasn't atrociously horrible but it really put a damper on the experience.

This photo was taken about half way through our meal. My two brothers and I went for the half price after 10 food. We got one tray of food with some cornbread and coleslaw and it was more than enough for us. We are all big eaters and all are in the culinary field and all I can truly say about Hayden's is that is by far the best BBQ I have ever had. I will for sure return again, hungry for more.

Hot spot in Kensington. Visited on a Tuesday night and couldn't get a seat! On a Tuesday!! Beer ~ Beef ~ Booze (whiskey to be more specific). Bartenders are skilled & knowledgable, servers are quick and a bit 'edgy' (well-suited to this environment), meat was really good. And, 1/2 price after 10pm. I will be returning ... and you should visit if you're down with at least 1 of the 'B's above.

Half price meats are an awesome deal after ten pm. Not great value without that. Drinks are good but fairly pedestrian. Not always well balanced depending on the bartender. Overall pretty good

The smoked meat and service is good. The downside is the wait and the host who took our names was cold and borderline rude. Also we got placed at a corner table by the door which is was so dim, I couldn't see my friends face while we had dinner. They have a vast beer and whisky collection which goes well with the different types of meat. Update: During the summer, the patio in the back and front is open is a great enviro me t to hang out with friends.
