Had a great meal and cocktails here! I love a good cocktail menu and this one did not disappoint, presentation of the cocktails was also on point. Dinner was also good, I went with the grain bowl and loved how many flavours and textures were in it. Everyone else also enjoyed their dinners. I am not a vegetarian so I was skeptical when our friends picked a vegetarian restaurant, but I left feeling full and satisfied. Service was great. It was super busy (Saturday night) so it took some time to get in initially. The one small negative was that the bathrooms were quite dirty. Definitely would go again and try something else off the unique menu. Would be a great place to take vegan or vegetarian friends or friends with a lot of food sensitivities.

Can I just live at The Coup? I could eat here for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert - every day, for all of eternity. As a dessert lover - I have never been disappointed by any of their creations. Their desserts are to die for, commit a crime for, commit your eternal love for - they ARE that good. In fact, I'm going to head over their right now. Bless.

I was so looking forward to this place. Unfortunately I wasn’t completely impressed. I was mostly excited for their cocktails. Their Instagram page reeled me in with their amazing-looking drinks. I showed our waitress a picture of the drink I was after. She ended up finding the drink I wanted but they didn’t have all the ingredients for it. So ended up settling for something on the menu, which was still impressive. My $21 bowl of vegetables was delicious, but definitely way way over priced. Overall, I’ll be back but hopefully will have a better experience the next time around.

I love meat. I have tried several times to give it up and I could not. So coming to this place I was worried I would have to order a salad :/ oh how I was wrong. They have some amazing and creative dishes here! I have eaten here several times now and have always enjoyed what I ordered but my go to will always be the giant panda bowl! And the ginger peach cider! The drink is absolute heaven on a cold Calgary day.

I often find that going to higher end restaurants provides a great atmosphere and a good spot for a celebratory meal or date. But I'm usually disappointed by the food itself, specially the portions. The Coup doesn't have the latter problem. The food is delicious! Their portions are great! I'm from Vancouver and I feel like The Coup has beat out the high end veg places where I live. Definitely part of my Calgary circuit now every time I go there. It's pricey but worth it, specially when they have a live DJ playing!
