Nicely located and a good menu of items to choose from. It has a nice atmosphere and loved the art work on the walls. We did find it odd though, (showing up for a late snack on a Saturday night) and sat for over 5 min before being acknowledged and waited on by the bartender, who was busy in his own realm. Very odd that the waitress who was on duty, (although obviously preparing for end of shift) did not even so much as acknowledge us or bring us water while we waited for the other staff to take our order. Because of this, we debated leaving, and finally just ordered an appetizer. The waitress moved past us at least 5-6 times while we were clearly waiting for *someone* to address us. I get that she’s coming off shift but the image it presents in not going a little beyond the call of duty in saying a quick hello was pretty unprofessional. For this reason, I’d likely find somewhere else next time as there are many restaurants in the area to pick from.

Went here for breakfast with the family on family day Monday. Ordered a kids pizza, the two egg breakfast and the pulled pork sandwich. The eggs were a bit over cooked and too crispy but everything else was good. I thought the breakfast portion sizes were pretty generous compared to many places I think it was 5 sausages and 4-5 pieces of bacon. I was surprise it didn’t come with toast but that was clear from the menu. We had to ask about a kids menu which they do have but I guess it’s not in writing. Again I was surprised the kids pizza didn’t come with a few veggies or something small on the side but they enjoyed it. We seemed to be just ahead of the rush as when we came in at around 11:25 the place wasn’t very full but was was mostly full when we left. It took a little while to get us menus and take our order. It also took around 30min to get our food once we ordered which I thought was a bit too long. Staff were friendly. Nice atmosphere with lots of windows.

Made reservations for a Friday night. First time there as well as last. Room was beautiful with great views. Nice open kitchen concept. Got the prawn and fish cakes to start. They were very fishy and quite salty and yet the sauce with bean and lentils was flavorless and made no sense. Are mains arrived in good time but my "12oz "strip was a sad 8-9 oz thin cut with gristle and a bone . Luke warm at best, it was shingled atop a bed of "twice whipped potatoes" which where under cooked, chunky mashed potatoes that tasted sour. They did slightly discount the bill for the potatoes. The manager was apologetic but by that time our experience had been lost. Will not be back.

Lots of great beer and wine available. The food is amazing and reasonably priced. Great atmosphere. Good views from the second floor windows.

Murrieta's is one of our favourite places in downtown Canmore. The food is incredible and the view is unbeatable. My husband and I recently hosted our wedding reception at Murrieta's and our guests have been raving about the food and romantic atmosphere for over a month now. Cody, Keith, Chef Marco and the staff are amazing and go above and beyond anything you could ever need. I don't just recommend Murrieta's for an absolutely unbeatable wedding reception, but I also recommend it for a quick bite, lunch, or dinner any time you visit the beautiful Canadian Rockies. This is and will continue to be our favourite place to celebrate all life's big adventures!
