As far as bars go it was pretty decent. Food was good for the price. The staff are upbeat and funny. They made us out of towners feel welcome and like we had lived there our whole lives.

The relatively boring exterior hides a beautiful post and beam interior. The bar is in a classic old building with lots of wood and separated spaces. There are televisions for sports, pool table and a stage for live music. In the right season a huge patio with amazing mountain views is open. The Drake's happy hour is legendary! Happy Hour Mon - Fri 4-7pm. Beer, wine and highballs are $5.00 TAX INCLUDED! The food menu is pretty simple and typical bar variety. The burgers and steak sandwich we had were well seasoned and delicious. Service was fast, attentive and friendly. The washrooms are clean. A large parking lot is available in the rear and offers free parking.

Thouroughly ordinary pub with pub food. Pool tables and music selections are good. Limited parking, though free if you can park in lot.

Whenever we staying Canmore we always make time to go to the Drake it's a fun night out and the beer is good. It's always extremely busy. We went to the nightclub downstairs which was a bit of a disappointment as the music wasn't as good as we hoped.

Decent local pub. Good food. Live bands. DJ Saturday nights. Cold beer....what else would a pub be
