Best food of its kind in South Edmonton. Not much parking, but you might get lucky behind the restaurant in the alley. The soups are incredible, and the main dishes will make you want to come back. The outside of the restaurant looks worn-down and sketchy, but the inside is fresh and nicely renovated. Don't be scared of the outside, give it a try! Give an extra 10 minutes on top of their quoted time for take out orders and you won't have to wait.

One of the best authentic Thai cuisines in Edmonton. Wish the restaurant is open until 10 PM. It would be nice to have a spacious restaurant- nevertheless the take out option is equally good. There is always waiting times in the restaurant. Booking a reservation will certainly save you much time. All the Thai curries are very delicious, creamy (we tried them all). The Tofu added to the vegetable curry is very juicy. A must try place for any Edmontonian.

The prices here are quite reasonable. The chicken salad (Thai style) was spectacular. The salad was quite spicy so its for those who truly enjoy a piquante dish. The remaining dishes were okay but they weren't quite as memorable as the appetizer. There is also an appetizer platter. Again, the items were good but there was a general, or perhaps a specific lack of attention and care in terms of preparation and presentation. The items like the mini shrimp spring roll like bites were tasty but carelessly wrapped and awkward. The main curries and noodles were somewhat overcooked.

Don't be fooled by how sketchy the outside looks. The inside is beautifully decorated and the food is delicious. I had the green curry with tofu and an iced coffee. I will definitely go again!

The exterior of Syphay was really unappealing for me, but the interior was surprisingly nice/exotic. Pad Thai and bamboo shoot curry were decent, probably seasoning was too strong for my liking but my friends liked them. Their appetizer party tray was little disappointing.
