From the outside, Furusato is easy to miss, with it's odd wooden door and hidden appearance. The restaurant inside is quaint in terms of space and atmosphere, but the exaggerated decorative pieces make up for it. I ordered a smoked salmon roll and salmon sushi bowl, and really enjoyed both. The sashimi pieces were plentiful and fresh, priced quite reasonably as well. The service was friendly and efficient. Definitely enjoyed my time here!

LOVED IT!! I found this restaurant by chance, since looking at it from outside, you wouldn't think to eat there. However, I was pleasantly surprised. The food was great, the prices very reasonable and the staff very friendly and helpful. It has a very cozy and author fix feeling.

Best sushi and sashimi in Edmonton! Don't let the sign outside fool you, it has a beautiful interior with a great ambience! Great for a casual night out!

The sashimi is quite fresh. And the environment is really good. It is a cozy and comfortable place. And the decoration is very Japanese.

$50 order of salmon sashimi, red snapper sashimi and ahi tuna sashimi. Did not taste very fresh, I was quite surprised based on my sashimi experiences elsewhere and the otherwise fairly good reviews posted here, I was expecting it to be good, but it just wasn't at all. Since most of the other reviews are so good, I may consider giving a second chance, and if the experience is better, I will amend the score.
