So for a person like me who is allergic to the essential food groups such as Gluten/Wheat, Dairy/Lactose, Corn, and not allowed to eat soy ... although I cheat on the last one... there was so much to eat here. I loved the customer service and the waitress... I don't know if I am allowed to use her name, but she was amazing, like if I were rich... in finances... I would make her rich just because if who she is and how amazing she did her job. It didn't even feel like her job, she was so natural at conversing and "waitering" (made up word) at the same time. I loved, loved, loved, loved, and loved the food there. It is the greatest experience since moving to Edmonton a month and a day ago. Thank you Padmanadi, your place is awesome. Oh and I just went there today... so this is not a stale review... (M) 04/12 (D)/18(Y)

Staff are amazing, explain everything and are very diligent in dealing with special diets. Food is also next level. Highly recommend specially for Vegetarians and Vegans who want options. UPDATE: I visit every year from BC and my family is never let down. The atmosphere is great the bathrooms are spotless, and again the staff are wonderful.

I could not tell this was not meat!! The food is amazing!!! Also, once a month Padmanadi does a buffet day. It is posted on their website when the next one will happen. It is all you can eat for $20, however, the food you don’t finish you can take home are are required to pay extra regardless if you take the food or not (I believe is $2 per 100g). That being said, all the proceeds of the extra money accumulated goes directly to a charity. Therefore it’s not only incentive to not waste food, but if you do accidentally take a little too much, the extra money will go to a worthy cause. Any you’ll have lunch for tomorrow :)

I am so in love with this food. I've only been there twice now but I can't stop mentioning it to others. The ginger beef is better (but a very accurate substitute) than real ginger beef. The service was great, and the owner really makes it feel like home. Will be back more than I'd like to admit.

Okay - I’m not vegetarian, but my wife is vegan. Padmanadi has been a regular go to place for us because the food is delicious. The entire menu is vegetarian but there are many veg on ideas as well. Their fake meat options do not come across as fake meat options. I could swear that it is real chicken or shrimps. It is a fairly big place so seating isn’t usually an issue, unless you go for one of their buffet nights which really draw the crowds - but the half hour wait for a table is worth it to get to sample many different dishes.
