We love the Blue Toque! It's our go to place for friends and family on a visit to Fernie! They have imaginative and healthy options, and a very diverse menu! Many things that other places would buy in bulk, they have preserved or made themselves. The location is awesome (it's in the old converted train station), and the people there are proud of the food they create! Just make sure you get there before the rush!

Amazing food. Great service from real people (no fake smiles). If you are looking for a wonderful brunch paired with incredible cocktails this is the place. Not so great for big groups, rambunctious kids or entitled city folk.

If you are craving good tasting, but lukewarm food, with a side of a surly blonde manager/owner, then this is the place! The manager would not stop snapping at every patron who walked in, and at the staff as well. We were a larger party (7 people), but almost all of our orders came out wrong. To fix it, the manager gave us our plates, saying "better start eating and the rest will come". I finished most of my meal before the right eggs and toast came. My husband never got the toast in time (he ate all his food first), so we cancelled it. Also, we had to ask for his drink twice. On top of all that, it was expensive food and cold. If we visited Fernie again, I would definitely avoid this place!!

We really enjoyed our breakfast here. Food was great. Over medium eggs were cooked perfectly which is hard to find. Pancakes weren’t the super fluffy type that I personally like better but they were still very good. Service was very friendly. We’ll be back our next time through. Also the compote spread was fun to try and quite good over just a usual jam.
