This place use to have fantastic service when Leslie ran it! Now that she is gone I probably won’t be back talking about changing everything don’t have things, making it seem Leslie ran this place to the ground when it will be them that does! The waitress is horrible!!!!

Lovely breakfast today, delicious all beef sausages. Friendly and cosy. And the Portuguese bread is perfect.

For small town Alberta, this place stands out. It has a great location and is right next to the public beach and the outside tables have a nice view of the lake. The walk up ordering window in the rustic outdoor seating area brings back that beachside memory of days gone by. The indoor seating is cozy and clean and is the perfect spot for a bountiful fresh made breakfast after a night of sitting around the fire with friends(two eggs, ham, shredded fresh hash browns and brown toast $9.50). I have eaten in every restaurant in Alberta beach and this place is a notch above the rest. Good food, good service, good value(mid priced for this town) and a clean place to enjoy the food. The staff seems really friendly and I will definitely be back. I hope they can survive the quiet times in a lake town during the off-season. I have never stayed in the suites...so I have no comment on them, other than to say, you can't get any closer to the lake...

casual , comfy feel , everything you want from a small town restaurant. Next to the beach with indoor and out door seating. Food is great , customers are friendly and everyone feels welcome .

You have to think any reviews in the positive are written by friends. In no way are the prices considered reasonable. $8.50 for what they refer to as large fries. Pretty well the size of McD's large size. Would you pay $8.50 for those? At that price you would maybe expect home cut style fries. Wrong again. Very generic shoe string type. And finally the topper. 45 minutes for an order of 3 fries. Nothing else. They kept making comments how busy they were but for the 8 customers they had I doubt that was the issue. When we ordered they did mention it would be about 15 minutes. I found that rather odd given the number of people there were. Even odder when I realized 3 of them including me had only ordered fries. During my 45 minute wait I watched others cringed with anger as the wait never seemed to end. We watched as a couple of women ordered ice cream. Not too generous are they? one said to the other. That's an understatement. After complaining that the wait was excessive for fries, the young woman serving me said she was told orders were first come first served. Fine. However no food came out during our 45 minute wait so that excuse doesn't cut it. Lots of other choices in town. Do yourself a favor and avoid this bit of bad news.
