This is Calgary's 4th Popeye's location. The restaurant is small and clean with a clear menu and self-serve pop machines. This was my first visit to Popeye's and I opted to try the two piece combo. This comes with your choice of regular, spicy of half/half chicken, a biscuit, a side and a drink. I chose spicy chicken and the red beans and rice. The chicken was hot, most and nicely breaded, but super oily. I practically had to wring it out. The beans and rice had a bit of a smoky flavour, but were otherwise pretty bland. I would say the highlight was the flaky, buttery biscuit.

Chicken pieces and the chicken tenders are amazing. Mild spice has just enough flavour. If you like it spicy, go ahead and ask for the hot pieces. You can also get spicy sauce on the side. The chicken tenders come with five different sauces. Personal favorite is the blackened ranch. Their biscuits are delicious too. Would definitely go again.

Popeyes brings some much appreciated variety to fast food fried Chicken in Calgary. It's not there best chicken in town but it's better than the other quick and dirty options. It has enough spice that diners with a really sensitive palate might feel some burn but it's no where near as spicy as their advertising would lead you to believe. The biggest problem I have with the beacon Hill location is the lack of a drive thru.

Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen is a great place to go to taste the food of the South, the place is kinda small but they manage to make the design pop with the decor, the service is pretty fast and easy, and if you have any problems they're able to quickly fix it. The food is really great, it's similar to KFC but it's much more Cajun. The chicken is crispy, greasy and hot, as well as big. The biscuits are soft and flavourful and the fries are crunchy and have the perfect amount of seasoning One problem I have is that there isn't that many seats, I had a meal here and it was packed (managed to share a table with a kind person) but overall it was a good dining experience and they really pull it off here

Agree with previous person's comment . The restaurant is small but clean. Chickens are delicious; we tried tender and regular two piece combo. We were told chicken here are halal.
